Wow! What a great show! September is just around the corner!
Apr 21st, 2008

Here's some scoop on the last show:
The weather was great, the dealers were packed out and ready, and over all it was one of the best shows yet!

Several new dealers joined the Grandview troupe. A big welcome to Kickin' Pickles from Austin, Texas! The ladies offered several varieties of homemade pickles, relishes, pickled jalapenos, chow-chow and the like. They reported excellent sales and their customers reported yummy samples!

Geneva Bethany from Rising Star, Texas has been selling quilts and her homemade jams & jellies since 1999 here in Grandview. She came to us Saturday afternoon and informed us that for the first time ever, she sold completely out of all of her products! She got to get out and run around!

Benny's Antiques from Gilmer, TX said she did really well and the Mission Outdoors Youth Ministry reported a huge success.

Local Itascans Maryanne and Tonto have been selling Tonto's handmade knives here in Grandview for several years and they agreed this was an especially great show!

Otis and Norma Hale and the Hogan family of Grandview all were quite pleased with the turn out! They enjoyed good sales and great folks and went home all tuckered out!

Newcomer Lynn Boswell of Fort Worth said she won't be a newcomer in September - she wants her spot back! Lynn sets up inside the Masonic Lodge. She sells an eclectic collection of colorful, interesting antiques and collectibles. She has an eye for the unusual and fun conversation pieces. Lynn is lots of fun herself - we like her!

Many thanks to Nita Sue for coordinating the advertising for the show - she did a great job getting the word out. Many thanks to Cheryl Wilbur over in Maypearl for single handedly coordinating activities and advertising in their community.

We appreciate the City of Grandview for all the help and support and especially Roy, Chris and the boys in the Public Works department for getting our town ready for the show!

Bethlehem Baptist Church and Bethel A.M.E. Church of Grandview will be back in September, working to raise money for their youth programs and building maintenance funds. They appreciate your support.

The Turner family from Brownwood, TX report that they plan to set up "Happy Jacks" funnel cakes, hamburgers and more next April. Unfortunately, they have a prior commitment in September and we will miss them at the next show.

Also, local citizen from Itasca Tanya Seaman decided to sell her famous candied pecans for the first time at Antique Alley. She calls her pecans "Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut" pecans - and she has been putting jars of pecans in Janet's Beauty Barn for sale for a while now. There's always a jar open for sampling and I always gain two pounds everytime I go to get my hair done. Well, we told her she should set up at the show and she did!
She was a big hit! We told her she would do good. . . .

If you've never been to Antique Alley, you don't know what you are missing! Antique Alley is a great way to spend a relaxing weekend with friends and family. Come check it out!
